One of my favorite celebrity turned chef authors is Tiffani Thiessen. Yes I did watch 90210 back in the day. But my favorite TV moments of Tiffani’s were in her role as Elizabeth Burke on White Collar (must see if you have missed it) and in her very own cooking show Dinner at Tiffani’s. Her cooking show was based on planning, cooking and having guests for dinner. I tried many of her recipes and LOVED them. She is definitely my kind of cook. When her book came out I bought it immediately. I am sharing her Beef and Mushroom Stroganoff With Creamy Polenta. If you are not a polenta fan – egg noodles would be a terrific substitute. My husand’s great idea was to save the broth and buy deli roast beef and use it as au jus (dipping sauce) for french dip sandwiches during the week – which was both brilliant and delicious.
