Cooking in Real Life is Lidey Heuck’s first cookbook. For those of you that do not know Lidey she has spent many hours with two of my favorite cooking heroes both Ina Garten (her Personal Assistant for years) and Erin French (from the Lost Kitchen show and author of Big Heart Little Stove) both of whom I admire so much for their love of fresh ingredients. She labeled this Cherry, Nectarine & Jalapeno salsa as a great “recipe to make when its too hot to cook”. This is an off the charts summer appetizer that can be made ahead and gives sweet and heat in every bite.
